Accessibility, in plain words.

We want this site to work for everyone ~ including people who use a screen reader, navigate by keyboard, prefer larger text, or turn off animation.

What we aim for

We build toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA ~ the standard most widely used to judge whether a website is usable by people with disabilities. It is part of how we build, not a box we check at the end.

What we have done

You can move through the whole site with a keyboard alone, and a visible outline shows where you are. A “skip to main content” link lets you jump past the menu. Text and buttons are set to meet the color-contrast levels the guidelines ask for. Meaningful images have written descriptions, and form fields have labels. If you have asked your device to reduce motion, this site honors that.

Where we are still working

Accessibility is ongoing. As we add tools and pages we test them the same way and fix issues as we find them. No site is ever perfectly finished, and we would rather hear about a problem than have you go without.

If any part of this site is hard to use, tell us what happened and what you were trying to do ~ through the Say hi page, and a human answers. Include the page and, if you can, the device or assistive tool you were using; it helps us find and fix the problem faster.
